  • 18 holes, par 72, 6936 yards. Links.

Conwy Golf Club is consistently ranked amongst one of the best golf courses in Wales. The course was originally designed and laid out as a 12 hole course in 1875 by Jack Morris, who later extended it to the full 18 in 1895. Since then Conwy has had extensive redesigns, notably in the mid 1970’s when Frank Pennink mad changes to the front nine and 1983 when Brian Hugget and Neil Coles re-designed five holes on the back nine. Conwy has also had its fair share of hosting major tournaments, particularly The Ladies’ British Open Amateur Championship in 1983 and the Home Internationals in 1990.

As soon as you step out onto Conwy it is easy to see why it is so popular amongst visitors and guests alike. The par 3, 2nd clings to the shoreline, followed by 2 and 3 – two great holes which run parallel to each other. Unlike most of the links courses in the local area, Conwy is relatively flat although its variety and assortment of holes more than makes up for this.

The large green and trademark pot bunkers are two very big characteristics, making this the perfect course to add to you Wales bucket list.

Even if the course is overly busy, Conwy will not pair you up with other groups. However, we do recommend that you book your tee times as far in advance as possible.

Golf carts can be hired out at the golf shop for £25 per round, as can electric trolleys and pull trolleys for a smaller fee.
