18 holes, Par 72, 6,250 Yards. Links.
The Eden Course at St Andrews, which is slightly more forgiving than its contemporaries at the ‘Home of Golf’, was designed by the celebrated golf course architect Harry Colt in 1914. Although low scores are achievable, this golf course certainly isn’t without its challenges, with sloping greens and bunker strewn fairways golfers must be accurate during their round on the Eden Course. Colt has used the fantastic natural landscape to great effect and visitors are sure to enjoy the magnificent views on offer throughout.
There are a number of noteworthy holes on the Eden Course at St Andrews, including the long par three 5th hole which promises a tricky putt from a number of areas on the sloping green. Also, take care when driving on the toughest hole on the golf course, the par four 17th which requires an accurate drive to avoid the out of bounds on the right followed by a pinpoint approach at well-guarded, tight green. Golf experiences don’t get much better than playing at the ‘home of golf’ and the Eden Course makes for a perfect round before attacking one of the more testing courses in the area whilst on a golf vacation to Scotland.
