  • 18 holes. par 70. 6,021 yards. Links.

Golspie Golf Course was founded by the Sutherland Golf Society in 1889 but was redesigned under the stewardship of the world-renowned golf course architect James Braid in 1925. Golspie Golf Course offers a magnificent links golf experience but it is not quite as traditional as the likes of Royal Dornoch or Brora and a number of holes away from the shore offer a more heathland feel.

Measuring just 6,021 yards there a number of shorter holes, including ‘Sahara’ – a 288 yard par 4 and ‘Fleet’ – a 285 yard par 4.However, the course at Golspie requires extremely good course management and strategic shot placement from all who play it. There are few courses in Scotland that are sure to provide the variety of hole layouts and challenges that Golspie Golf Course offers, which makes it one of the best golf courses in the Scottish Highlands.
