  • 18 holes, par 72, 7269 yards. Links.

Originally named The Dublin Golf Club, Royal Dublin was founded in 1885 and was moved twice before finally ending up on Bull Island where it sits today. In 1920, renowned golf course architect Harry Colt rebuilt the course due to the severe damage it sustained by the Military in the First World War. Since then Royal Dublin has strived for success and has hosted some of the Ireland most prestigious amateur and professional tournaments in the British Isles - notably the Irish Amateur Open and the Irish Open which has seen victors such as Seve Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer.

The layout of Royal Dublin is flat and narrow with plenty of out of bounds, demanding accurate drives from anyone looking to play. Like all Links courses, the wind is apparent from start to finish, contributing to an already difficult and lengthy 18 holes. The severe pot-hole bunkers only add to the challenge and the perfect sweeping greens are also a contributing factor. The clubs history, reputation and continued quality has made this a must play course and we strongly recommend this for your golfing vacation.
