  • 18 Holes, Par 70, 6521 yards. Parkland.

The Pasatiempo Golf Club was designed by the famous architect Alister MacKenzie in 1929. Even though MacKenzie also designed Augusta National and Cypress Point, Pasatiempo was his favorite layout and where he made his American home, which still borders the sixth fairway. Today, this historic top 100 course is a semi-private golf club that sets aside certain tee times each day for public play.

Restored in 2007 under the close supervision of golf course architect Tom Doak, to reflect the original MacKenzie design, Pasatiempo is a formidable challenge that plays more like 7400 yards than 6500, due to its difficult greens, the changes in elevation and the little-roll fairways.

A must-play old school classic when planning your Monterey golf trip!
