  • 18 holes, par 72, 7,200 yards. Links.

Opened for play in 1997, Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220-acre diamond of land out over the Atlantic. The course sits on a promontory 300 feet up from sea level where you feel like you’re on the edge of the world, which naturally provides breath-taking views throughout.

The course contains five par 5s, five par 3s and eight par 4s, which stretch over 7200 yards of rugged Irish landscape. Over the 18-holes there are some particularly memorable holes which will entice you to visit Old Head of Kinsale again. The 17th is long par 5 which requires a brave second shot to the right side of the fairway. Miss it left and you will be left on the edge of the cliffs with a blind shot to the green to make green in regulation. Additionally, the 18th is possibly one of the most dramatic holes in golf, with out of bounds on the right and water on the left, a good drive is key and this hole will leave you wanting more.
