  • 18 holes, par 72, 6,852 yards. Links.

The 18 hole course at Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Course is made up of 9 holes from the traditional course, created in 1887 and 9 holes of the Barassie Links course which was designed in the 1990’s. This mix of old and new provides golfers with a unique and special challenge and as such, the course has played host to a number of professional and amateur golf tournaments including as a Final Qualifying Course for the Senior Open Championship on a number of occasions.

The Barassie Links is a challenging golf course and features undulating fairways, pot hole bunkers and fast greens amongst a superb setting of the Ayshire coast. The fantastic 18th hole is particularly challenging and requires a great drive from a partly blind tee shot onto a bunker strewn fairway, followed by an accurate approach shot to a well-guarded green. Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Course is certainly not the foremost course in the area but is well worth the visit if you fancy stopping by whilst on a golf vacation to Scotland.
