  • 18 holes, par 74, 7200 yards. Links.

Connemara was designed by successful course architect Eddie Hackett and opened for business in 1973, achieving nothing but admiration since. Rarely will you find a course more beautiful than this. The Twelve Bens Mountains and coastal scenery are eye capturing from start to finish.

Onsite at Connemara Championship Golf Links there are 27 holes, the A and B which make up the championship course and the C which is shorter in length and difficulty. At 7200 yards, the championship course is probably one of the longest links courses out there, and with the added exertion of wind, can play even longer. Low handicappers will struggle to make par here. This could a combination of the brisk air and stunning scenery, but most probably this is down to the immensity of the last six holes. The greens are set high on a hillside, the fairways are dotted with shattered rocks, and the wind is apparent throughout. All in all Connemara is a fantastic course, with lots of other brilliant courses in the area to make up the perfect golf vacation.
