  • 18 Holes, Par 72, 7024 Yards. Links Style.

Designed in 1964 by General Edwin Carnes, the Commanding General of Fort Ord at that time. More of a links style course with breath-taking views of the Monterey Bay and is highlighted by fescue-framed fairways, strategic bunkering and fast-contoured greens.

Often regarded as the ‘little brother’ to the more celebrated Bayonet course, Black Horse benefitted hugely from the 2008 $13million renovations of both courses. At 7,024-yards off the tips and with 4 sets of tees, Black Horse can accommodate all levels of player, and is now widely regarded as the more playable and fun of the two courses. Be sure to bring your putting game though, as the greens are slick!
