Alabama Golf

“The Heart of Dixie” played a vital role in the defining history of the South, with Montgomery and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s. Just a few decades later, Robert Trent Jones Sr. came out of retirement to make history of his own and create a breath-taking collection of courses spread throughout the state.

The RTJ Trail, known for being the best value golf in America, is full of top championship layouts. Stretching from Florence and Huntsville in the north of Alabama, all the way down to Mobile on the Gulf, the “Trail” comprises of 11 sites and 26 championship golf courses. The triangle of Birmingham, Montgomery and Auburn is the central hub, with multiple courses at Capitol Hill, Ross Bridge and Grand National providing some truly spectacular golf.
